The Immune System

The story that your customers need to know…

The First Line of Defense

There is no question that the human immune system is extremely important to our health and well being. This is especially true in today’s world.  We are confronted with increasingly antibiotic resistant pathogens, new viruses like SARS, and the ultimate threat, bioterrorism.  The air we breath, the food we eat and the water we drink are all potential carriers of disease.  A simple mask, plastic sheeting and duct tape are not enough.  We need the strongest defense possible to give us even the smallest advantage.  That defense starts with the Immune System and G.I. Health.

How It Works

At the simplest level, the immune system protects us by recognizing when we are invaded by pathogens (bacteria and viruses) that can affect our health and cause us to become ill.  Once the alarm sounds, one of the key responses of the immune system is to supply defenders (aka antibodies) in the form of special immune proteins called immunoglobulins that can recognize the pathogen, attach to it and neutralize it.  Once neutralized, the pathogen can no longer do any harm.  In a sense, these immunoproteins are like soldiers, trained to recognize the enemy and take them on in one-on-one combat.

Who Left the Door Open?

How do these bad bacteria and nasty viruses enter the body?  For the most part, they are either airborne and enter through the lungs or hitch a ride on food, in water or anything that comes into contact with the mouth and can subsequently pass into the stomach.  Over 70% of the pathogens entering our bodies come in through the gastrointestinal tract (GIT).  As a result, there is a constant 24/7 battle going on in the GIT.  Your immune system can provide up to 5 grams of immunoglobulin per day to your GIT to make sure that you win the battle and stay healthy.  What happens if you lose?  For example, let’s consider food poisoning.  When you ingest food that has been improperly processed and/or handled, there is a high probability that you are introducing large quantities of pathogens like E. coli, salmonella and listeria into your GIT.  The immune system is overwhelmed and you become ill.  If given enough time, the immune system can mount a counterattack and eventually defeat the pathogen.  In some cases where the immune system is compromised and weakened, the results can be catastrophic.

A Question of Balance

In addition to the GIT, your immune system has to be ready to fight on many other fronts throughout the body (the lungs, sinuses, throat, and other organs).  The Immune System has to maintain a balance between what is needed in the GIT and what is needed systemically.   This resource balancing act can be very critical to your health and well-being.  The Immune System has to win all of its battles for you to stay healthy.  Fortunately, it does not have to win by a lot—it just has to win.  Conversely, if your immune system loses a battle, even by just a little bit, your health is at risk.  If you can shift the balance of immune resources in the direction where they are needed most, you can provide that essential edge that can make the difference between winning and losing, between health and sickness.

How Can We Help?

In the real world, things like good nutrition, plenty of rest and a non-stressful lifestyle help to create a strong immune system.  Not all of us are so fortunate.  We eat poorly, don’t get enough sleep and can’t avoid the stress of daily working and living.  To be all it can be, our Immune System needs help.  We need to be able to give it help in the GIT to fight the daily battle and, at the same time, shift immune resources to wherever they are needed systemically.  One logical way that we can do this is by directly supplying more defenders (antibodies) to the GIT.

Send in the Reinforcements

The best source for supplemental antibodies or immunoglobulin is ImmunoSense®.  Is approximately 55% by weight immunoglobulin.  Although bovine derived, these immunoglobulins are just as effective as your own antibodies in neutralizing pathogens. Oral supplementation with ImmunoSense® is like sending in the reinforcements.  More antibodies to neutralize more pathogens to help win the war in the GIT.  More importantly, these reinforcements diminish the need for the Immune System to supply its own defenders.  The Immune System balance shifts away from the GIT and toward the body’s other systems.  More systemic immune resources are now available to help give us the winning edge in other systemic challenges like colds and flu.  ImmunoSense® is made from ImmunoLin®.

The Future is ImmunoSense® and Its Now!

The potential benefits of ImmunoLin® have recently caught the attention of molecular biologists at a major midwestern university and we are collaborating with them in the process of applying for a NIH Grant under the SBIR Biodefense Program.  The intent of the proposed study is to begin the process that will confirm the observed benefits of ImmunoSense®.  You and your customers don’t have to wait.  If your immune system is compromised and/or you are forced to expose yourself to any of a variety of potential threats (international and domestic travel, airplanes, large crowds, suspect food and water, stress, and just plain daily living), you can benefit by making sure that your immune system is all it can be and more.  For the support that you need, include ImmunoSense® in your daily health regimen and triple your usage when challenged.
